Week 8 News
Welcome to Week 8!
This week there is no homework, but assessment is still taking place at school.
Students have been given the list of 50 words which they will be tested on this Thursday. Students must use this to study. The link is provided below in case any sheets have gone missing:
Term 4 Spelling Test
Students have also been instructed to take home their Religion books today to prepare for their test this Wednesday.
This Wednesday, we will be attending Mass at our Maths Enrichment students will be hosting us. All are welcome at 9am.
The Christmas concert is just around the corner! This will take place next Tuesday 3rd December. Students are bringing a note home today and I would appreciate your response so that we are aware of who will be attending. The note also outlines the costume for the night, which for Year 6 is quite simple. We will need to wear black pants of some description and a colourful T-Shirt.
I'm looking forward to seeing you next Tuesday evening to celebrate what a wonderful year we've had. I suggest you bring the camera as I feel you will gain excellent video material for 21st birthdays!

Welcome to Week 7!
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
We are still working hard in class this week, with a particular focus on Grammar and Religion.
This week will be the last week of organised homework, which is due this Thursday. No drill questions have been issued this week. The spelling words are available under the 'Homework' tab.
We will be attending Mass this Wednesday which is hosted by our Prep buddy class. All are welcome to attend and it starts at 9am.
Also, Year 6 are responsible for bringing in toys and reading books for the St Vincent de Paul Christmas appeal. These may be new or used (but in good condition) so students have been asked to go through their collections at home to see what can be donated, with your approval. These will be packed in hampers and taken to homes where they will be greatly appreciated so your support in this appeal is necessary and valued.

Week 6 News
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Firstly, I am so grateful for the beautiful birthday wishes from the children this week and was overwhelmed by the generous and thoughtful cards and gifts. I am so lucky to have such a beautiful class of students! Thank you.
This week the Year 6 students will be completing their Maths exam for Term 4. The exam will take place on Wednesday morning. Students have been told to take their Maths grid books home over the weekend to do extra revision to prepare for Wednesday. They have also been told they can take home their textbook to complete relevant pages if they wish.
They have homework to complete as usual, but preparation for the exam really comes down to the initiative they show. They have also been offered lunchtime tutorials to receive additional help in the days leading up to the exam.

This week students will be working hard in Maths learning about Probability in preparation for their exam in Week 6. We will also be beginning out observations for our experiment in Science.
Interschool sport training will be on Thursday morning starting at 8am and students will be competing on Friday. Please remind students to bring at least one full bottle of water to school daily. I have recommended they also bring a frozen bottle water as back up. They find this particularly valuable on Fridays!
